In October 2024, EmpowerED hosted a Transformation Event at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, with delegates from across the North West.

EmpowerED Transformation Event.jpgThroughout the day delegates heard from a wide range of speakers including Experts by Experience, the Parent Carer Forum, the EmpowerED Commissioning Team, and  lead clinicians from across the North West including Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. 

Georgia, EmpowerED Expert by Experience Forum member said: "It was lovely to see everyone here today, and it was nice to see NHS England join us and learn about all of the achievements from the last year, and I'm looking forward to the future." 

India, EmpowerED Expert by Experience Forum member said: "It was great to hear from Jane and Mags about the PEACE proposals support those with autism in an inpatient setting. 

"It was also good to hear from Georgia about the PARALEL pathway for those discharged from SEDUs to hopefully reduce the length of stay of inpatient admissions and maintain recovery outside of hospital."
